- Maker Faire Africa: co-organizer of start-up DIY invention festival in Accra, Ghana (2010)
- GO Ingenuity Award: Help to define, promote new award for inventors who teach kids (2010)
- Green Mountain Film Festival: operations committee member (2006-2008) and guest artist
- What Is My Place: mural project at Twinfield Union School in Plainfield, Vermont (2008)
- Memory Tiles: mural project with senior citizens hosted by River Arts in Morrisville (2008)
- Deliberative Democracy Consortium: a network of people improving governance (2007)
- Montpelier to Mumbai: six high school students make their way to India’s World Social Forum (2004)
- Binary Systems: assistant on a very cool public art installation by DC artist Jim Sanborn (1999)
- CAVE: Co-founder of the Center for Collaborative Art and Visual Education in DC (1998)
I’ve also enjoyed stints on student films, as a production assistant for Fox Broadcasting, a translator of Forsaken Cries, as a participant in numerous conferences including CIVICUS (Botswana), SXSW (Texas), Whistler Forum (Canada), LogoLink (UK and South Africa), and the Cadbury Trust (UK). Life – what a rush!
